Business Identity

Julie Callum, DMD
Dr. Callum was referred by a relative for whom we do a lot of work. She didn't have an identity or mark so we create the happy, bright smile in a circle for her. The card also has appointment information – as those for most doctors – on the back.

New England Eye Center
One of our longest-standing clients, New England Eye Center has evolved its identity through changes at Tufts Medical Center. Most recently it converted is own corporate colors to those selected by the hospital. It also merged some of its branding into the hospital scheme to appear more team-like. It has worked out well for all. Our years of experience with branding and colors helped us guide them in the process.
We ultimately applied the final set of colors and configurations and branding to all New England Eye Center materials and its Web site.

The Power of Three
To develop a logotype for this nearly five-year-old company (in 2000), we tried
many designs that fall out of the obvious suggested by the company name. But
the name actually only reflected the fact that three friends formed the company,
not much more. Yet, on further discussion, we found many ways in which three
applied... number of distinct services, ways to approach the client challenges,
stages of analyses... All the while, we also had to reflect the vision and style
of the company's owner and director -- a clearly brilliant and hardworking person,
but one who likes things simple and understated... perhaps reflecting his approach.
After nearly two dozen ideas, we focused on the three simple bars -- quite elegant. |

Westside Watershapes
and Westside Pool Service
Here are two businesses in a family that focus – with the names – on different but similar markets, creating value for the future. This was in part done to prepare to separate the services into two entities for sale, but more important to create a higher-level, distinguished appeal for the pool design and construction arm.
We are pleased to be serving this company (Texas-based) and impressed with the marketing savvy of the owner in a fairly traditional business.
